Sri Ranganatha Swamy

equal to Lord Vishnu Temple at Srirangam and the deity is called Talpagiri Ranganatha Swamy. The temple is known for its

Mirror Hall in this temple is a treat to

This Temple is
situated on a hill called Vedagiri and is 20kms away from Nellore.
The deity in the temple Lord Narasimha is considered very sacred and
you can see the entire Nellore Town from the top of this Vedagiri

Jonnawada is dedicated to Goddess Kamakshi alongwith Mallikarjuna

This famous
Bird Sanctuary is around 60kms away from Nellore. It is located on
the banks of Pulicat River and is spread over 486 sq. kms. Best time
to visit is during October and November. The famous Siberian cranes
and nearly 160 species of birds from USA, China, Antarctica and many
more can be seen here. |

SHAR Centre |

The Indian
Space Research Organization has established SHAR Centre near
Sullurpet and is 100 kms away from Nellore. .More than 325 sounding
rockets have been sent from this space centre. The famous SLV-3
satellite was launched from this space centre. You need prior
permission from the authorities to visit this centre.

located around 15kms from Nellore. The Central Govt., is developing
this into a mini port. This port was in existence right from the
period Chola dynasty. It'll be nice to spend few hours near this
